The Phoenix Suns signed free agent forward Jae Crowder to a three-year deal Saturday, according to a report from The Athletic.
Crowder, 30, is an eight-year veteran who can play either forward position. He has averaged 9.6 points and 4.1 rebounds during his career, which has included stints with six teams.
The Miami Heat acquired Crowder from the Memphis Grizzlies in February as part of a three-team trade. Crowder went on to average 11.9 points and 5.4 rebounds in 20 regular-season games (eight starts) with the Heat, and he helped Miami on its surprise run to the Eastern Conference title.
In 21 playoff games (all starts) for the Heat, he averaged 12.0 points and 5.6 rebounds.
Crowder played collegiately at Marquette and joined the league as a second-round pick (No. 34 overall) in 2012.
Financial terms of the deal were not immediately available.
