Pride of the valley since 1879
Constantly updating eNewspaper with an historic name.
Phoenix Herald was the name of a newspaper published in Phoenix and Maricopa County in 1879 by Gosper & McClintock. It was a weekly newspaper and circulated for three years until 1882.
A daily paper by the same name was launched by the Herald Publishing Company in 1899 which was printed into the early 1900s.
Today’s Phoenix Herald carries on the tradition of providing local new coverage of the city, the capital and largest city in Arizona, and the sixth biggest in the U.S.
The publication aptly carries the slogan 'Pride of the valley since 1879.’

Mission: Phoenix Herald was conceived in September 2002 to provide up-to-the minute local news, together with national and international headlines as part of a global network pooling resources to deliver a quality service to member portals. Each online publication has been modelled on a newspaper format for familiar readability by users. The locations forming part of the network were selected on the basis of demand for news for that location. Phoenix Herald, an online newspaper, named after a newspaper having originated in Phoenix in 1879, provides coverage of the city, the metropolitan region, and Arizona state. International news, business and finance stories are common across the network of sites, and are drawn from a number of sources including original in-house journalists and wire services.
Phoenix Herald and the other sites are administered by Midwest Radio Network.
