AIIMS doctors say battered Baby Falak has shown marginal improvement

Phoenix Herald (ANI) Tuesday 7th February, 2012

Doctors at the trauma centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Tuesday said that the health of two-year-old battered infant Falak was improving.

Falak, who has been in coma since the middle of January, has started moving her limbs, but the infection in her brain remains a matter of concern.

In a medical bulletin, the doctors said that neurologically there had been no change in her condition and has remained the same as it was on Monday.

Other body organs of the baby are functioning and no major operation has been planned for her, they added.

The doctors further said that the condition of Falak would remain critical till there was any infection in her body.

Referring to Munni, the woman who has claimed to be Falak's mother, the doctors said that they had not received any request from police "to bring any woman for identification or meeting her".

Meanwhile, the police said that the second child of Munni had been traced in Muzaffarpur in Bihar and was brought to Delhi.

The three-year-old child was identified by the police as Sanobar and was kept at a child home in Delhi.

Munni, however, is yet to undergo a DNA test to verify is she is the actual biological mother of Falak. (ANI)
